  • Terrible congestion
    More pollution
    Increased stress
    Against working people especially women
Recently been using a bus and no adequate bus lanes so it defeats the whole purpose
Dangerous driving – more and get on the roads.
    Witnessed driving on pavements.
    Worried about emergency services
Most of us our time ooor especially with families.
    Lack of consultation.

  • Well done Ealing. We came together to show that we will not stand for this. The LTNs are destroying our community . The council are not listening to our concerns.

  • This is causing more congestion.
It’s a longer way round causing more pollution in the air which is worse for people suffering from lung, heart problems.
Children at different schools are not arriving on time.
I’m worried with regards to emergency services taking longer to reach people, they could die because of this.
    Where was the consultation.

  • Thousands of people dying of the virus, millions driven into poverty, the cut-off date for our climate is fast approaching and the people of Ealing march to protest having to take 5 minutes extra on a journey.

    • If it were on;ly five minutes no one would complain. Journey times from my home to my GP (disabled driver so I have no choice but to use a car) have increased from 5 minutes to 27 minutes much of it spent in idling traffic (start/stop does not work at these speeds). Traffic volumes on the ‘peripheral’ roads have increased by up to 22%. these are not rat-runners but residents going about their legitimate business.

  • I live on Deans Road and the LTN is a god send. It stops rat running and we no longer have to tolerate the abuse by drivers when we unload our cars on a tight road! We now have space to park also so not sure if that is directly attributable.

I have also see the odd idiot who drives on the pavement but that’s the driver behaviour and not LTN!

This is one which you’ll hate or love and I am in favour. Thought I’d give the other side of the argument.

    I don’t mind driving a bit longer.

  • Anybody know if there’s another march?
I think now we’ve shown other people the depth of feeling on this issue we’d get even more supporters on the next one. This stupidly thought through plan needs to be kicked into touch soon.
To the environmentalists… You of all people should understand the laws of unintended consequences. Think of all the extra miles that now need to be driven to circumvent the blockages. Wooly and ill thought through. We luckily have a hybrid that switches off the engine when at standstill.. but how many other cars are now making extended trips without this technology? What about the concentration of pollutants on the roads that are now seeing extra traffic? Take a bike or bus? Try that with the weekly shop! We’re residents.. we NEED to traverse our own neighbourhoods.

This could all be fixed with ANPR cameras.. Only residents allowed to pass though. The database of number plates already exist.. the technology exists!
