Ealing Hospital Birthday Music Hall

Ealing Hospital formally opened its doors and beds for patients on 5 November 1979. 40 years later, to the day, a Birthday Music Hall was performed in ‘The Viaduct’ pub just across the road from the hospital. The event was a fund and awareness raiser on behalf of Ealing Save Our NHS (www.ealingsaveournhs.org.uk). The star turn was the NHSingers, with rich theatrical and singing input from the young, local theatre company – ‘A Wonderful Adventure’. As befits a Victorian-style Music Hall there was singalong, comedy, recitation, poetry and, of course, a singing Mermaid.
