Development in Greenford

Ealing Council’s 2012 Local Plan outlines the extent of large scale residential development in Greenford as 470 housing units by 2026. But on the 20 acres old Glaxo/Sunblest Baking site we see  1,965 homes being built. The US developers and landlord for the 1,439 new rented homes is Greystar. Another 526 homes, will also be available for sale. Planned NHS healthcare infrastructure has lost its funding and there’s little evidence that the new promised two-stream Primary School becoming a reality. Yet another example of planning dysfunction.

  • Very good piece of journalism. Everyone should be worried about these major developments where the local infrastructure has not been considered to support the extra population.
