Walpole Ward Forum October 2019
Ealing Council replaced Area Committees with Ward Forums some 10 years ago. Originally each forum met four times a year and enjoyed a £40,000 budget for resident inspired projects. In austerity 2019Ealing Council style there are two per year and the budget is £20,000.
On 7 October 2019, an episode of the Walpole Ward Forum was played out at Ealing Green College. Exposurebox attended and recorded much of the ‘action’. This included most of the ‘Future Ealing’ presentation given by Ealing Council Chief Executive Paul Najsarek. For those who did not attend we hope this video gives you food for thought.
I moved to London three years ago. I live in a block of flats overlooking the wonderful Lammas Park which together with Walpole Park enriches the lives of the local community. I was horrified to hear about the commercial Parkour project at the little unpublicised Ward forum last week. I would like to be involved in any organised group that has been established to oppose it. please send me details.
