With its iconic art deco facade, the iconic piece of architecture known affectionately due to its previous tenants – as the ‘Woolworths building’ – is set to face demolition and to be replaced with a new residential space comprising of apartments.
Here we speak with West Ealing Centre Neighbourhood Forum committee member, Eric Leach, who passionately feels that the facade itself should be preserved and that the development plans themselves are not necessarily in the local community’s interest.
